Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is issued by Man with Van Lampton and sets out the steps we are taking to identify, prevent, and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to respect human rights and to uphold the dignity and wellbeing of everyone connected to our business.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Man with Van Lampton provides transportation and moving services to a wide range of customers. Our operations rely on our own workforce, subcontracted drivers and operatives, vehicle hire providers, equipment suppliers, and various service providers that support our day-to-day activities. While our supply chains are relatively straightforward compared to some industries, we acknowledge that risks of modern slavery can exist in all sectors and geographies, including logistics, vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and temporary labour.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
We operate a clear zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking. This approach applies to every part of our business and to all parties we work with. We will not knowingly engage with any supplier, subcontractor, or partner that is involved in or connected to modern slavery practices. Any breach or suspected breach of our policy will be treated seriously and may result in the termination of contracts or business relationships.
Policies and Governance
Our commitment to preventing modern slavery is embedded within our broader ethical and employment policies. We are committed to fair recruitment, lawful and transparent working practices, and the payment of wages that meet or exceed legal minimum standards. All employees and workers must be engaged on voluntary terms, with freedom to leave employment in line with relevant contracts and applicable laws. We regularly review our internal procedures to support compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We are strengthening our supplier due diligence processes to help identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery. Before entering into or renewing contracts, we expect suppliers and subcontractors to confirm that they operate in compliance with applicable labour laws, do not use forced or trafficked labour, and maintain processes to prevent exploitation in their own operations and supply chains. Where appropriate, we may request written confirmations or other supporting information.
We reserve the right to undertake audits or request evidence from our suppliers to verify compliance with our standards. These checks may include reviewing recruitment practices, wage records, working hours, and the use of labour agencies or subcontractors. If we identify any concerns or non-compliance, we will work with the supplier to address the issues within agreed timeframes or, if necessary, cease working with them.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our managers, employees, and key contractors. Training and guidance focus on recognising signs of exploitation, understanding our policies, and knowing how to raise concerns. By encouraging open discussion about ethical conduct and human rights, we aim to build a culture where exploitation is not tolerated and concerns are taken seriously.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage anyone working for or with Man with Van Lampton to report concerns about modern slavery, human trafficking, or any form of exploitation. Concerns can be raised with line managers or senior management. Reports can be made confidentially, and retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited.
All reports will be reviewed promptly and, where appropriate, investigated. If we identify actual or potential modern slavery, we will take immediate steps to protect affected individuals, work with relevant stakeholders, and, where required, cooperate with the appropriate authorities.
Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continually improving our approach to tackling modern slavery. We monitor the effectiveness of our policies and controls by reviewing supplier feedback, audit findings, internal reports, and any incidents raised through our reporting channels. Lessons learned from these activities guide updates to our procedures and priorities.
This statement will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in our business, supply chains, and legal or regulatory requirements. It represents our ongoing commitment to act ethically, uphold human rights, and prevent modern slavery in all areas of our operations.
